Description
Model C553 is a Versatile Performer.
Equipped with our High/Low Tailcap and HC Head, it produces 900 lumens in High Mode but a manageable 40 lumens while in Low Mode. With its low-profile 1.35-inch diameter crenellated bezel and a focused 26,250 candela at 900 lumens of overall light output, this Elzetta Charlie model produces more throw than some 1,200+ lumen lights.
The push-button controls on/off while rotation of the Tailcap selects the mode. Screw the Tailcap all the way on for constant output High Mode or loosen it a bit (anywhere from a few degrees to 1/4 turn) to engage Low Mode. Three CR123A batteries (included) provide 2.0 hours of runtime. Fully potted electronics (a critical feature that other manufacturers omit) ensure circuit boards and solder joints are completely sealed and locked in place for extreme durability.
